Mini-Bio: In love with the vampire Katherine Pierce, Damon begged her to turn him. Resenting his brother Stefan for completing his transition even though they believed Katherine to be dead, Damon spent the next 145 years feuding with Stefan and searching for a way to free Katherine from a tomb. His return to modern day Mystic Falls has spurred Damon to move away from his more selfish, destructive ways, but it's a challenge he doesn't always live up to.
